Mesa replaces street lights with LEDs

Some $1 million in federal stimulus money is being used to replacing more than 2,500 streetlights in Mesa with more efficient LED lights. Authorities say the Arizona city will save $28,000 a year in electric bills because the new lights will cut energy use by 40%.
