Light bulb company explains IPO

Christchurch energy-bulb maker that got its first big break in South Canterbury is looking to list itself on the New Zealand Stock Exchange. Energy Mad managing director Chris Mardon said the company would hold a public presentation in Timaru on Thursday, to explain the company's bid to raise between $5 million and $10m through an initial public offering. "It's an opportunity for people who have supported us from the beginning to hear about what we plan to do next, but also to ask some hard questions. It's one thing to look at the prospectus, it's another to hear it from us in the flesh."
