LED street lights planned for all of Lafayette

Energy-efficient and longer-lasting LED street lights may eventually be burning through most of Lafayette. A section of Jefferson Street in downtown Lafayette was fitted in October with LED — light emitting diode — bulbs and new lamps, according to Terry Huval, Lafayette Utilities System director.
