Shedding a Light on Marijuana Growth

In August, The Wall Street Journal highlighted Illumitex’s focus on providing lighting for the growth of medical marijuana. The post said that LEDs can be customized to produce wavelengths that promote growth of specific plants. Illumitex’s LEDs generally are used to grow tomatoes. The company said, however, that medical marijuana is a new specialty. That strategy helped the company secure $16 million in funding during the spring, the story said.
