BPW encourages business owners to switch to LED lighting at luncheon
The electric bill for the average commercial or industrial business is about 40 percent lighting. For warehouse and distribution centers, that number rises to 75 percent, said Justin Lamb, vice president of the Michigan Solid State Lighting Association, at a Holland Board of Public Works luncheon designed to provide information about better lighting options. Public Act 295 says power companies need to encourage their customers to reduce their energy consumption. Tuesday, the BPW reached out to some its larger customers.
