Thanks to advances in lighting technology, holiday-light decorators across the country have a lot to choose from when it comes to creative ways to deck their halls for the holidays this year. You can forget about white incandescent lights and animatronic reindeer. Think lasers. Think smartphones. And hundreds, if not millions, of color choices. You may already be knee-deep in programming a light show that astonishes (or annoys) the neighborhood. But if you're just getting started down that road, here's a primer.
