Jaffrey: LEDs to replace streetlights

The town of Jaffrey will embark on a trial run to decide whether to switch the town to LED streetlights. The decision was made at Monday’s Select Board meeting to have a trial run of six lights, after the board received a proposal from DPW Director Randy Heglin. To retrofit the town, which has 154 streetlights, the cost will be $45,010, which will be lessened by a $15,400 rebate.
