Task Lighting in Kearney one of first companies in the industry to convert to LED lighting

In the past year, Task Lighting has undergone a renaissance. Founded by Ken and Linda Anderson in 1985, the company was purchased by Dallas-based Hardware Resources on Jan. 2, 2018. Hardware Resources has 700 employees and eight distribution centers across the nation. After the acquisition, Task Lighting and Hardware Resources spent eight months integrating computer systems and resources here to unify the two businesses. That work was completed Sept. 1. “We got the kinks worked out. We can focus on growing the product line and making it as efficient as we can,” Bartek said.
