Japan-headquartered LED pioneer company Nichia has
launched its 280nm UVC NCSU334A “deep blue” ultra violet-outputting LED, intended to address mass market goals for water purification and air sterilization using solid-state lighting. Over recent years the company has had considerable success with the development of UVA LEDs, specifically designed for resin curing applications.
