Duluth adopts new lighting request policy for lift bridge

Mayor Emily Larson announced the city Duluth has adopted a new policy for lighting requests for the Aerial Lift Bridge and Enger Tower.

The policy's objective is to standardize the process for the public to request custom LED light displays on the Duluth landmarks.

Decorative lighting of the Aerial Lift Bridge will only be approved in extraordinary circumstances, such as a global humanitarian crisis.
