OSRAM OSTAR Projection Power Product Family Lights Up EPSON’s New Portable Smart Projectors
In a significant advancement for the portable smart projector market, SEIKO EPSON Corporation has released four new products from the Epson Lifestudio range, utilizing six key products from the OSRAM OSTAR Projection Power P0MQ, P0AQ, P1MS and P1AS ranges. Containing a new engine with three color light source Triple Core Engine these projectors are a leap forward in 3LCD technology, redefining 4K enhancement image quality through a precise balance of projection technology and light source innovation.
The Epson EF-61 and Epson EF-62 are the newest lightweight portable mini projectors under the Lifestudio Pop range while the Epson EF-71 and Epson EF-72 are the latest built-in foot projectors under the Lifestudio Flex range. Epson EF-61 and Epson EF-71 both offer full HD resolution while Epson EF-62 projects a 4K enhancement resolution for sharper detail. The Epson EF-72, on the other hand, adds the brightest output in this range alongside its 4K enhancement resolution. On the bright scale, the Epson EF-61, Epson EF-62 and Epson EF-71 offer 700lm while the Epson EF-72 steps up to 1,000lm.
All four projectors are powered by a Triple Core Engine with 3LCD x RGB-LED technology, producing vivid images for indoor or outdoor use. To achieve all this, the four new products utilize a total of six ams OSRAM color LEDs from the OSRAM OSTAR Projection Power product family: OSRAM OSTAR Projection Power, LE A P0MQ, OSRAM OSTAR Projection Power, LE B P0MQ, OSRAM OSTAR Projection Power, LE CG P0AQ, OSRAM OSTAR Projection Power, LE A P1MS, OSRAM OSTAR Projection Power, LE B P1MS and OSRAM OSTAM Projection Power, LE CG P1AS.
These super high-power LEDs are based on ams OSRAM's latest generation of isolated ultra-high current chip technology integrated into a thermally optimized SMT-mountable metal-core package. This combination allows the heat to spread most efficiently and reduces thermal resistance from the chips to the heatsink to minimum, allowing them to achieve a much higher brightness compared to typical LEDs used for illumination. This latest generation has an enhancement of ~15% brightness increases as compared to previous generation. Additionally, the cap-less optical design of the packages enables highly efficient light coupling into the optical path of the application system. The OSRAM OSTAR™ Projection Power devices are available as a monochrome module of the color’s amber, converted green and blue and in various configuration levels with one, two, four or six chips. ams OSRAM emitters offer its core strength in surface emitting ultra-high current technology, achieving the best possible performance when highest brightness matters.
