Lux Series — Vintage-Style LED Blinders from Blizzard Lighting

A timeless retro look never goes out of style — and with the new Blizzard Lighting “Lux Series,” you get that vintage vibe plus high-output, modern LED performance.

Each model blends powerful warm-white (“amber”) LEDs with separate 3-in-1 RGB background LEDs, offering bright strobes, warm glows, and rich colored effects — fully adaptable for small venues, large concerts, or anything in between.

The fixtures use a reflective aluminum interior housing to maximize brightness and create a glowing “aura” of color. Their sturdy metal exteriors (complete with retro-inspired mesh fronts) give them a nostalgic look — but inside, they’re built with modern features like RDM (remote device management), 5-pin DMX I/O, and powerCON TRUE1-compatible power connections, making rigging fast and reliable.

The Models
    •    Lux Capacitor 2 — Delivers a deep 2000 K amber light using 3 × 60 W warm-white LEDs, plus 48 × 3 W RGB LEDs for background color. It includes 10 built-in programs with adjustable speed, strobe effects from 1–25 Hz, and a locking bracket for secure installation.
    •    Lux Reactor — A linear blinder/bar that combines 6 × 60 W warm-white LEDs (about 1800 K) with 440 × 0.2 W RGB LEDs to produce a dynamic aura-style effect. It supports strobe effects from 1–20 Hz and comes with an easy-to-use locking bracket.
    •    Lux Quadra X4 — A high-intensity quad-cell blinder delivering 1900 K warm light plus RGB background and ring effects. It features separate control over each cell, 128 RGB background LEDs, 124 RGB ring-effect LEDs, and strobe speeds up to 25 Hz. Built-in latches make linking multiple units simple.

According to Blizzard Lighting’s Creative Director of Product Experience, the Lux Series “captures the perfect balance between retro inspiration and modern punch.” The fixtures are described as “bold, architectural pieces” — equally impressive in a fixed install or on stage — aimed at lighting designers who want texture, movement, and an immediate “wow” factor without complicating the rig.
