Hopkinton council to insist on dimming of gas stations’ red LEDs

Members of the Hopkinton Town Council held a public hearing Monday to discuss modifications of the town’s sign ordinance to allow the color red to continue to be used to display prices at the town’s three gas stations. Those businesses will still have to comply with a provision of the ordinance that requires them to dim their red LED signs in the evenings. “The dimming of the LEDs is still in the ordinance and still needs to be followed, even if you kept the red,” councilor Barbara Capalbo said.
