2Micro International Limited was issued 17 claims under United States patent number 7,948,455 for its White LED apparatus and methodology. This invention regulates white LEDs used in color displays and small handheld devices. It provides high efficiency and at the same time reduced die size. Laszlo Lipcsei, vice president at O2Micro said, "O2Micro continues to enhance white LED technology since it is the preferred light source due to its size, complexity, and cost advantages."
