Thruway Authority upgrading some lights

The state Thruway Authority has switched over to more energy efficient LED lighting at 20 toll barrier and plazas and plans more upgrades to save money. The authority says it expects to cuts the cost of its $2 million-a-year electric bill by about 20 percent with the new technology.
