Streetlights in Redlands to be converted to energy efficient LEDs
Additional traffic signals in the city will be converted to LED through the city’s LED Streetlight Conversion Project. The City Council on Tuesday awarded a $127,365 contract to Southern California West Coast Electric Inc. to convert up to 170 streetlights in and around the downtown area. “This is a significant cost savings to the city long term in terms of energy savings and the price we pay for it,” said Mayor Pro Tem Paul Foster. “This is a wonderful program we need to constantly continue as we’re able to do so.”
