LEDs to light up Marine Drive (Mumbai)

The Queen's Necklace will be brightly lit up by the end of this month as it has been decided to convert streetlights into LEDs. The same will be extended across the city and its suburbs by the end of October.  A decision to this effect was made at a meeting between senior officials of the Centre, state and civic body, on Friday. Chief minister Devendra Fadnavis will inaugurate the pilot project at Marine Drive on January 31. The same day will also see LEDs being installed at Bandra in the western suburbs and at Mulund in the central suburbs.
