Find out why Fresno is installing new streetlights around town
Expect to see some new lights all around Fresno as the city sets out to upgrade all its streetlights. In a news release, the city says the “Light Up Fresno” program is a partnership with PG&E to convert existing streetlight bulbs to more energy efficient LEDs in all of the city’s 36,000 traditional streetlights by December. Work has already begun in southeast Fresno. There are about 2,000 ornamental streetlights that will transition to LED in a later phase.
