ODOT hopes street LED lights will save taxpayers money
The Oregon Department of Transportation says more than 8,000 streetlights in Portland to LED lighting will save taxpayers $700,000 to $800,000 a year. ODOT says their project to swap the lights begins on May 26 and will continue intermittently through the summer of 2021. Most of the work will take place at night to minimize traffic impacts.
