Park City Asks For Community Input On Proposed Outdoor Lighting Regulations
Park City (Utah) residents may have to update their outdoor lights in the near-future to meet proposed city codes. The city wants to align outdoor lighting regulations with Summit County’s and the International Dark-Sky Association standard.
City planner Elizabeth Jackson said the new code would set a maximum lumen for property, which limits the amount of light put out. It would also try to prevent harsh lighting by setting a maximum of 3,000 degrees Kelvin.
