New LED lights at the I-20/59 bridges in Birmingham

LED lights are being tested under the bridge decks recently constructed at I-59/20 in downtown Birmingham.

There will be  24,000 linear feet of the mutli-colored LED lights when the project is completed and another 2,000 linear feet of general LED lighting.  

The lights span for over 10 blocks from 15th Street N. to Carraway Blvd. Stone & Sons of Birmingham is installing the LED as a subcontractor for Johnson Bros. Corp..
