Watervliet streetlights being upgraded to more efficient LEDs

Watervliet (New York) is replacing traditional, high-pressure sodium or metal halide street lighting fixtures with more efficient LED lights.

The mayor says this will reduce energy consumption, and save the city and its residents is around $125,000 each year.
