City looking to convert more streetlights to LEDs

The city of Campbell could soon be seen in a new light. The Campbell City Council is looking to install more LED streetlights in the city to conserve energy. The council discussed the move at an Aug. 18 meeting. Last year the city converted 200 of its 2,700 streetlights from traditional light bulbs to LEDs. Since changing to LEDs, the city has saved approximately $9,900 on its energy bill, according public works director Todd Capurso.
