LEDs reignite radiance to Des Moines icons

A number of iconic Des Moines bridges have been sitting in the dark over the past year due to broken or burned out lighting systems. Now, the city of Des Moines is ready to reignite the radiance with new, high-tech lighting systems. The city began taking bids on new lighting systems last summer for bridges like the Carver Bridge on Martin Luther King Parkway, the Iowa Women of Achievement Bridge and all the blue basket-handled pedestrian bridges over I-235.
