Govt body warns people against fake websites selling LEDs

Government body, Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) has issued a general warning sounding people out to be careful of websites claiming to sell 9W LED (light emitting diode) bulbs for as less as Rs 1. EESL is a government body, which functions under the ministry of power, and is responsible for tendering for LED bulbs of pre-defined specifications from various manufacturers and then selling the same through authorized distribution channels.
