Hornell moves to LED lighting downtown

Over the last week, the Hornell Department of Public Works has been busy shining a light on the city’s downtown shopping district, installing new LED lights that offer improvements on several fronts. New LED bulbs were placed on Main Street, at the Center Street municipal parking lot, and along Opera House Lane. The retrofit is a short-term cost, long-term benefit calculation made by the city.
