Lumax aims to focus on affordable LEDs for mass market cars

Lumax Industries is aiming to focus on affordable LED lighting for mass market cars and planning to localize all its components going forward. The lighting company already has a 35-year-old relationship with Stanley Electric Company of Japan, which is the only company manufacturing auto lightings and LEDs, and Deepak Jain, Managing Director of Lumax Industries, claims it is the only company in the world that actually manufactures automotive lighting as well as its own LEDs. Lumax Industries sees a huge technology shift happening on lighting system towards LEDs from conventional lighting, and the implementation of BS-VI emission norms will further fasttrack this technology shift.
