Most consumers research lighting before purchase

More than three-quarters of consumers researched indoor lighting prior to purchase, according to exclusive research from Furniture Today. Only 23% of consumers did not do any research before purchasing lighting. Thirty-four percent of consumers researched online exclusively, while 32% researched both online and in store. Only 11% of lighting consumers researched entirely in store before buying. The most popular source for information, among both online and in-store researchers, were retailers’ websites, reported by 74% of respondents. Marketplace websites, such as Amazon and Overstock, were employed by 63% of consumers.
