Big Four Bridge goes dark after lightning strike knocks out LED lights

The Big Four Bridge connecting Louisville and Jeffersonville has gone dark at night after a lightning strike knocked out its colorful lights earlier this month. The pedestrian bridge was struck by lightning during a March 9 storm, which fried key LED light components, said Gary Pepper, director of facilities for the Waterfront Development Corp., which manages the bridge's lighting system.
