Downtown library installs blue lighting to deter drug users

After a test run which began last year, the Spokane Public Library has installed blue lighting in the men's bathrooms at their downtown location. Sccording to a spokesman for the library the lighting has been successfully used in other cities to deter drug users, specifically users that inject drugs into their blood system. The blue lighting makes it difficult to find a vein.
