Low-profile, high-tech art graces North Liberty bridge
Subtle public art glows in North Liberty (Iowa City) which you may not notice on a casual drive through town on Highway 965. It’s the colored-light side panels on the recently-refurbished bridge over the pedestrian underpass connecting foot traffic between east and west sections of Cherry Street. A dozen aluminum panels on either side of the highway, now called Ranshaw Way in the city limits, feature a swooping design of cut-out broken patterns forming straight and curved lines which periodically change color.
