Cooper Lighting Solutions Announces Winners of 2020 SOURCE Awards
Cooper Lighting Solutions, Peachtree City, Ga., recently announced the winners of its 43rd annual SOURCE Awards, a lighting design competition dedicated to celebrating the next generation of lighting professionals and building the pipeline of industry talent.
In a virtual awards presentation, seven university students from around the country were recognized for their creation of conceptual projects that show the understanding, knowledge, and functionality of lighting as a primary element of design.
The winning projects were judged on creativity and selection and application of the company’s lighting and controls products. Specifically, the conceptual lighting design projects were judged on the blending of aesthetics and creative achievement, with additional considerations of energy efficiency, controls integrations, best use of natural light, and customization.
Winners received a crystal trophy, local and national recognition, and an invitation to attend a lighting seminar hosted by the SOURCE, the company’s lighting and educational center also located in Peachtree City. The grand prize winner, Stefanie Voinea, received a $2,000 award. The honorable mention winners each received $500.
