Cordova City approves LED street light project
The Cordova City (Alaska) Council voted to move forward with a street light project that will see LEDs installed throughout the city.
Mayor Jeremy Pate said the project will take approximately four months to complete and will resolve lingering questions from the April 2011 tornado about the number of street lights scattered throughout the city and their location.
Council members did agree to a three-year contract with Alabama Power on a 35-watt LED system.
