ETRI Solves The Challenge In The Next-Generation Display Micro LED
A Korean research team has developed the world's first next-generation display technology that can simplify the process and reduce the incidental expenses considerably.
The new materials required for the new process were also developed for the first time in the world and is expected to support the Korean industry considerably in continuing its leadership in the next-generation display market.
The research team fabricated 12 micro LEDs in 1mm2, and more vivid color can be realized compared to the LCD3) or OLED4) display. It also has such high luminous efficiency that it can be utilized in various fields such as TV and Smart watch, etc.
To develop the product, micro LED produced through the semiconductor process must be transferred to the display panel.
