Orlando investing in safer lighting downtown
Orlando’s Downtown Development Board/Community Redevelopment Agency is looking at some upgrades for lighting in the downtown core.
Improvements include removing existing light fixtures and installing brighter, more energy-efficient LED fixtures on the current acorn light poles in the Central Business District.
Improving the lighting in the downtown core was something that was identified as a priority in 2014’s Project DTO initiative meant to help guide Orlando’s growth over the next 10 years.
