Nichia and GVL Settle US Patent Case regarding Basic Filament LED Patent

 

With the increasing popularity of filament LED products in the United States, major manufacturers of lighting products have entered into the filament lighting market.

Nichia continues to evaluate these filament LED products against its patent portfolio, including the ’734 Patent, and will enforce its patent rights against unauthorized use of Nichia’s inventions. 

Nichia is currently enforcing the ’734 Patent against Feit Electric Co., Ltd. in the United States District Court for the Central District of California, and is engaged in active licensing discussions with multiple major lighting companies that sell filament LED products.
