Yellow LEDs produce less glare

The light-emitting diode (street) lights are noticeably less diffuse than the older lights, making a stark contrast between what’s lit and what’s not, and my eyes have to adjust again and again as I pass through the glaring pools of light. Driving beneath them in an otherwise dark neighborhood is no fun, either. It’s simply harder to see with the new lights, which is surely less safe. If we can no longer afford the older lights, we may have to accept that loss of quality, but surely we could acquire LED lights in a better color. The blue is too harsh
