Marysville to replace streetlights with LEDs
Lighting the night is about to get cheaper in Marysville. The city council recently approved a $211,801 contract with DTE Energy to install 646 LED streetlights in the city. DTE will be replacing 377 overhead-fed streetlights and 269 underground-fed streetlights with the LED lamps. “We allocated $250,000 for all-new streetlights in Marysville,” said City Manager Randy Fernandez, addressing the city council at its regular meeting on Nov. 28.
