Community forum to address possible Mount Pleasant lighting

The Lancaster Parks Department is looking for community feedback on the illumination of the face of Mount Pleasant. It's an idea almost a decade in the making, and now it's a real possibility. There will be a community meeting Sept. 20 to discuss the idea. In 2008, a committee was formed to celebrate the centennial of Rising Park the next year. One idea this group came up with was the nighttime illumination of the face of the mountain, the highest peak within a city's limits in the state.
