Gaylord on track to be first state district to switch to LEDS in pilot project
Gaylord Community Schools is in the process of switching out its fluorescent lights in favor of a light that is more aesthetically pleasing, more cost- and energy-efficient, and it is one of the first districts in the state to participate in a new program. Brian Pearson, Gaylord Community Schools superintendent, said the district’s project is on track to be the first district in Michigan to complete a fluorescent lighting to light-emitting diode (LED) switchover through a Consumers Energy pilot program.
