GE lamp plant part of sale, no jobs were lost

Along with the Bucyrus (Ohio) plant, GE facilities in Cleveland and Logan as well as a distribution center in Canada were sold to Savant. More than 700 employees work at the four locations sold. Workers inside the Bucyrus facility make several sizes of standard, A19 light bulbs, which are the common bulbs everyone has screwed into sockets throughout their homes. The company's vision for the future is focused on developing a complete ecosystem for inside the home.
