New York state to install 500,000 LED streetlights

Part of a statewide upgrade programme, Smart Street lighting NY will see 500,000 streetlights replaced with energy-efficient LED technology by 2025. The New York Power Authority (NYPA) has teamed with Signify to support the upgrade of 'at least' 500,000 streetlights throughout NY state. Signify claims with its connected LED luminaires and Interact City IoT lighting system cities can reduce their energy consumption and carbon footprint.
