Nanoleaf Opens Pre-Orders for Industry’s First Matter Over Thread Smart Lights

Nanoleaf, the global leader in smart lighting innovation and technology, is launching pre-orders for two new Matter-compatible smart lights—an A19 Bulb and Lightstrip—making them the first ever Matter smart lighting available on the market. The new additions to the Nanoleaf Essentials line work with Matter over Thread for seamless setup and control, offering crisp white lighting and rich RGB colors for setting the ideal ambience on days when you need an extra bit of color.

The new Matter-certified Essentials Bulbs & Lightstrips will help to light up your entire home with a simplified setup, seamless controls and personalized automations that work across platforms and multiple devices of your choice. With Matter, you’re no longer restricted to certain platforms or having to check which devices are compatible; all Matter-certified devices work seamlessly together regardless of the brand or manufacturer for the most unified smart home experience yet.

Setting up and controlling your lights is easier than ever before with Matter. Choose your preferred smart home platform to customize your lighting and conveniently make adjustments from multiple devices via Matter’s Multi-Admin capabilities, allowing everyone in your household to personalize the lighting to suit their needs.

The Essentials Matter line runs over Thread to offer lightning fast speeds and robust reliability for your smart home using a mesh network. Illuminate your living room, office space, bedroom, kitchen and entertainment areas with a full range of white lighting (color temperatures from 2700-6500K and up to 2200 lumens) and over 16M vibrant colors, using your preferred smart home app (Apple Home, Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant and Samsung SmartThings).

Use the Nanoleaf App for more detailed customizations such as playing Scenes like “Be Productive” for working from home, or “Starlight” to help set the ambience in the evenings. You can even turn on Circadian Lighting to have the color temperature of the lights automatically adjust throughout the day, removing blue light as the day turns into night to help regulate your body’s natural rhythm and prepare you for more restful sleep.
