Europalco manages large displays with Christie's 3DLP projectors, Spyder X80 image processors, and Pandoras Box Servers
Portugal’s event provider Europalco has once again leveraged Christie integrated solutions to redefine the standards of corporate event production with a spectacular synchronized multi-projection display for the annual meeting of Millennium BCP, Portugal’s largest private bank, held at Lisbon’s Carlos Lopes Pavilion.
DCE Loving Brands agency organized and created the employee recognition-themed event, which was integrated into all levels of production for the approximately 1,600 people in attendance. Europalco provided a wide range of services, which included sound, lighting, video, cameras, automation, kinetic elements, stage set-up, and furniture.
A gigantic 60 x 8-meter (197 x 26-foot) main screen divided into three sections (each 20 x 8 meters) served as the focal point of the stage. Supported by 12 Christie 30,000 lumen, 4K 3DLP projectors, a Christie Spyder X80 image processor, and Christie Pandoras Box Servers for show control, the projection was synchronized with the movement of the screens, to create a dynamic backdrop for discussions and performances.
Europalco designed the central section of the display with innovative functionality. It could be raised and lowered according to the needs of the event using Movecat C1 technology controlled by the I Motion Expert T III SIL3 controller, which was connected to Pandoras Box Servers to synchronize the position of the display and video layers.
Europalco cleverly integrated a 20 meter by 6-meter (65 x 20-foot) LED wall behind the main screen. This secondary display further enriched the visual experience, and provided extra flexibility for content delivery and enhanced the overall depth and dimensionality of the scenography.
