Brightek Unveils RGB ICLED Hardware and Software Integration Solution with Global Debut at electronica 2024 in Munich
Brightek Optoelectronics, provider of integrated optoelectronic solutions, will participate in electronica 2024 in Munich, Germany, from November 12 to 15.
This marks Brightek's first overseas debut of its integrated RGB smart LED (ICLED) hardware and software solution, alongside a lineup of smart surface modules and invisible light LEDs and sensors. The exhibition will focus on applications in the European automotive, security, and industrial automation markets, showcasing Brightek’s comprehensive technical expertise in component design, manufacturing, and hardware-software integration.
Brightek will showcase a complete range of RGB iCLed products that meet AEC-Q102 automotive standards, including the latest EVO and ISELED platforms. The EVO 3838 series offers 16-bit PWM color modulation, with color precision up to 16 million times that of traditional smart LED and a maximum brightness of 7000 mcd, making it suitable for exterior automotive lighting. EVO is designed for high-brightness applications that require accurate color rendering, especially in ambient lighting and smart surfaces for HMI applications, enhancing the driver experience. The ISELED 3233, with high brightness capabilities, supports 8-bit PWM color modulation, four brightness levels, and complies with ISELED signal standards.
Brightek will also introduce its RGB iCLed hardware-software integration solution featuring its in-house developed UPP (Ultimate PWM Program) software. UPP assists automakers with fast and precise color calibration. Combined with EVO products, UPP increases dimming speed by over five times and achieves a color accuracy rate of over 99%. Even when used on smart surfaces with varying materials, it allows for rapid, precise color calibration, ensuring consistent color presentation.
Brightek will also present a variety of iCLed application modules for smart optoelectronic solutions in automotive interiors and exteriors. The smart surface solution offers a new generation of human-machine interface (HMI) design. Integrating touch functionality, the smart surface module achieves seamless design, significantly improving reliability and durability compared to traditional mechanical switches. The simplified design reduces material use, supporting customers' environmental and carbon reduction goals. Additionally, Brightek will showcase applications for exterior ambient lighting, including the miniaturized 1212 iCLed module, ideal for matrix displays in automotive interior and exterior applications, making it a leading solution for next-generation ambient lighting.
To address future autonomous vehicle applications, Brightek will demonstrate an exterior display module with ToF sensing functionality. This module can interact with pedestrians during autonomous driving, using lights or display messages to inform pedestrians of the vehicle's awareness, providing a safe and effective human-vehicle interface—a trend-setting solution for the autonomous driving era.
For invisible light applications, Brightek will display a range of sensors for various scenarios, including single-zone, multi-zone, and 3D ToF series. Highlights include ToF sensors capable of detecting transparent objects like water and glass. In the IR series, Brightek offers one of the industry’s most comprehensive high-power IR product lines with symmetrical, asymmetrical, and off-axis types. The off-axis IR module, for example, is well-suited for corner-mounted cameras, effectively reducing reflection interference and energy waste, helping customers achieve energy-saving and environmental goals.
