Lambertville Bridge In A Brand New Light

The New Hope-Lambertville Toll-Supported Bridge is now shining in a whole new way, thanks to a new color-programmable LED architectural lighting system. The system underwent testing Monday evening, casting the bridge in blue, red, and a celebratory Eagles green following Philadelphia’s Super Bowl victory over the Kansas City Chiefs.

Installed as part of an extensive bridge rehabilitation project that began last year, the lighting system has been activated only briefly in recent weeks for electrical testing. However, Monday night marked the first full directional adjustment of the lights, according to the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission.

The test, which began just after dusk, allowed engineers to fine-tune the system. Additional testing is expected in the coming weeks as the bridge’s transformation continues, bringing a vibrant new glow to the riverfront community.
