Ford to recall more than 35,000 vehicles over faulty LED lights

Ford Motor is recalling 35,328 vehicles due to a defect in the exterior mirror’s LED lights that could pose a fire risk, the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) announced on Tuesday.

According to the auto safety regulator, the LED logo lights in the exterior mirrors may short-circuit. The recall applies to certain 2015-2017 Lincoln Navigator models.

To address the issue, dealers will disconnect the LED light wires at no cost to owners, NHTSA stated.
