This Guy Built a Technicolor Disco Ball With 540 LEDs
Need a high-tech idea for your next disco party? Look no further. Mechanical engineering grad Garrison Burger spent the past six months building a giant programmable ball that contains 540 LEDs. Burger used 180 custom-printed circuit boards, a 3D-printed frame, and fiberglass rods to connect everything. The setup is powered by four gigantic 10,000-mAh LiPo batteries, and the whole thing is controlled by an Arduino Teensy.
