New orders come in for LEDs, Orion says sales top $72 million

Orion Energy Systems Inc. in Manitowoc said Monday it expects its sales in the year just ended reached $72 million to $74 million, as it continued a company shift toward sales of LED lighting products. The manufacturer said LED sales rose to become 41% to 43% of total sales in the fiscal year that ended March 31, compared with 5.4% in fiscal 2014. Orion didn’t announce anything regarding its profit or loss forecast for the fiscal year just ended. Full-year results are expected to be announced in May, the company said.
