That Lamp You Had in College? It’s Now a Luxury Item
Bronze floor lamps made by artist and designer Philippe Anthonioz for high-end brand Ralph Pucci. At about 6 feet tall, his L136 model bears a family resemblance to that college-furniture staple, the torchière halogen lamp, but its sinewy metal form and rough, heavily worked surface brings to mind the work of 20th-century masters Alberto Giacometti and his brother Diego. The latter was one of Mr. Anthonioz’s mentors in the early 1980s.
